Neverending Card

I love, love, love, love this card. I had so much fun making it, you just keep flipping over the panels to show a different view. Its time consuming as all the panels have to be decorated but it is certainly worth it. The only problem is getting people to stop playing with it. I taught it in my class today and the girls loved it as well. So simple once you get the hang of it. I will be teaching this in my demos over the next couple of months and I can't wait to sit down tomorrow and make one in the new Christmas papers from Docrafts that are coming out in the next week. It will look sensational. The paper for this card is the Clare Curd Signature Range 'The Big One'. It came out last year from Docrafts and its a massive pad of 12 x 12 papers, 200 sheets in total. Fantastic. I have been dipping in and out of it for ages but it just hits the spot totally for this card. The stamp is a Magnolia stamp, I don't have many of these but I love this little cute girl and have managed to use her on loads of different cards since I purchased her.  Hope you like it.

I am just back from the Do Crafts conference today in Bournemouth. I met up with my friends Nikki and Christine so that we could have a day together first. I truly think I may have hurt my internal organs from laughing so much.

The Conference itself was fantastic and really well run which just made the day run so smoothly and it flew by far to quickly. It was great to meet up with all the other demonstrators and catch up on what's been going on since I saw them all last year. I made the most beautiful necklace and bracelet and if I can mange to I will upload a photo of them at a later stage. They were made using the Cousin Jewellery range, keep a look out for it everyone because it is scrumptious and it is coming to a store near you next month.

Above is a little rocking card made with a small Forever Friends embellishment and sentiment, I softly inked around the edges in a light brown and it's all just to show you that small cards can be beautiful!!

Triple Easel Card

Just wanted to show you a cute triple easel card that I made for the last demonstrations for Do Crafts. I used the gorgeous (and I mean Gorgeous) Pampered Pets papers and the boarder on the front is from the Pampered Pet cardstock stickers. So many people look at the front of these packs and just see all the stickers of pets but turn it over girls the back has a second sheet of the most delish boarders. Yum. The toppers are from the Forever Friends "Head over Heels" and "Get Well Soon" Embellishment packs

60 Plain and Simple

This is a card I just put together for another friend of my moms. She had her 60th Birthday Party on Sunday and we had a fantastic time. Unfortunately I didn't get the card made in time (it happens to me a lot!!!) so I just finished it off today to be given to her on Monday. Mary is the an absolute lady, dresses beautifully and looks nothing like 60 years of age so this card just gives me a little giggle every time I look at it. It is just the complete opposite of the way she is.

This image and wording is from "Dimension Fourth" and I borrowed it from my friend Ashlyn and then stamped it about a million times because I just know I am going to use it on loads of cards.
Sometimes I just love plain and simple. And black and white is a firm favorite with me. This card with the image colored in would take on a totally different look and would be fab but this time around I just wanted a clean non cluttered card. Hope you like it.

Double and Side Easel cards

Easel cards are the type of cards that everyone has measurements for but really can be thrown together so quickly with just some card, a score board and a bit of messing around and practicing on some printer paper. None of the easels I make are measured they are folded card that is made to fit into the easel shape. If anything is hanging over the edges I just "Lob it off"!!!!. I am now making loads of mini tiny easel cards and I love making them because you can put one together in just minutes. I'll upload a few of them in the next couple of weeks so you an have a look.

For my March April demos for Docrafts I spent a lot of time just showing how to put these effective cards together without blinding yourself trying to measure with a ruler.. The double easel shown here is using the large pictures that are in the back of the Forever Friends paper pack. The side easel card is using the Birdsong Range papers and stickers

A great pack to purchase is any of the Ultimate Decoupage packs from Docrafts that come out in every two month loop because as well as the papers, decoupage, greeting etc it also has loads of great push out picture sections that are fab on easel cards and with a few minutes of folding and sticking you can have loads of great single, side, double or triple easel cards.

A late little Easter Bunny

I am a bit late posting this one as Easter is over but I love this card. Docrafts brought out these fab 3 panel cards. So I joined 2 together at the back and scored the front and middle panels at the half way mark. Its just such an effective look. I love it. A little panel built to sit on the front of one side of the card has the ribbon hidden beneath it so that it can wrap around the card to keep it closed and the panel serves as your decoration. Love it Love it Love it.

Flutterby Wishes

Can you tell that I am all excited about starting up my blog FINALLY!!!!

Last post for the night. This was a card that I made i classes locally and around the country. It uses the Summer Bloom range of Stamps from Do Crafts and I adored the stamp set from the moment I saw it. Sometimes its just nice to have stamps that stamp out in full and you don't need to color them or make any real effort with them. As you open this card the panels move internally. Again a card that looks quite difficult but really surprises when find out how easily it can be made. Hmmm, I feel another tutorial coming on......

I have been working on a chocolate flower vase for my mom to give to her friend for her birthday on Sunday and I have just put on the final touches. Hopefully she will like it, love it and than eat all the chocolate!!!

I am now off to finish packing up for my Demonstration in the Art and Hobby in Dundrum tomorrow. So very nearly organised if only I could stop flitting off to do other things!!! Right, time to focus.

Midnight Fairytale Spinning card

I loved making this card. It looks so complicated but ended up to be a really easy card to make. The spinning panels twirl on a BBQ stick. I will try to get a tutorial up on the blog in the next couple of weeks to show how to make it. The stamped images are from the Papermaina Docrafts Midnight Fairytale range.

Coffee, Coffee, Coffee

Well for those who know me I am rarely seen without a cup of coffee in my hand so I really couldn't resist having a go at making this card. I had been thinking about how to do it for ages and then one day I came across a card on the web that just set me off working on this card. The lid lifts off and is attached to the internal piece which is where you would write your greeting. I wish I could remember where I saw the original similar card but sadly with the way I blog hop and scoot in and out of emails I just can't recall where I saw the original idea. I love the web for inspiration, it can save you when your creativeness goes on holiday!!!!
